When researching photography packages for your event, whether it’s for a debut, wedding, birthday, or corporate event, often, a studio will provide you with several options. Sometimes they will give different packages that range below.
These numbers range and the shooters they provide can be adjusted according to your budget. But what’s the science behind this? Are these studios just trying to charge you more money?
NOT AT ALL!
The Formula For A Successful Shoot
Most studios already have a tried and tested formula for the recommended amount of shooters to get the most value for your money.
Scenario A: 8-10 hour wedding, 100 pax, Photography & Videography Package
For an event of this size, it is recommended to have at least:
Scenario A: 4-hour event, 80 pax, Corporate Event, Photography Package
For an occasion like this:
Every photographer/videographer has their own part to play in the event. In a team of 2, 1 could be the main camera shooter, 2nd camera shooter, and 3rd is the Creative Camera Shooter.
- Main Camera shooter – they focus on capturing the whole event
- 2nd Camera shooter – they are the 2nd angle and their focal point is capturing the reaction shots and establishing shots
- Creative Camera shooter – they move around as “stabilizers” to assist in getting creative shots.
The work can also be done faster when there are more shooters on the team. This helps the client get the best footage and the team is able to do their job better in providing the best images and films.
Everyone gets a chance to be in front of the camera
With so many in attendance, everyone will want a chance to be in front of the camera. Picture an award ceremony.
There are guests, speakers, hosts, and all the people involved on this special day for the company and winners. With enough photographers roaming the hall, there will be plenty of opportunities for people to be captured. And this is not just for events. This applies to so many occasions.
- An engaged couple looking at wedding photography and videography packages in the Philippines?
- An event organizer canvassing for event videographers to shoot your next corporate activity
- A marketer looking for a commercial video production service, budget and
- A mom/dad looking forward to their daughter’s long-awaited debut to be done in a hotel in Manila
More raw footage for editing use
The studio you choose wants you and your event to look great. This includes a selective culling and post-production process.
More shooters at the event = more cameras = more raw footage
At Sugar & Tea Philippines, Photography | Videography, we aim to provide our editors with as many clips to choose from and create the best possible photo album and video highlight/documentary which is why we provide our client’s different packages explaining the number of shooters that align with their budget.
Location. Location. Location
With different shooters going around and capturing videos, the editor will have the best angles to choose from during the post-production process.
For example, 1 videographer shot from near the stage, and another videographer took shot the same scene from a different area, depending on the flow of the video, these shoots have the best
Sometimes even drone videography is involved and here, the location of the videographer is key to getting some great shots.
There’s a reason photography & videography services in Manila have different packages and recommendations for the number of men and women behind the camera.
Similar to spreading butter on toast. More butter = more flavor. But when spread too thin, sometimes the taste is affected and not as delicious as we want it to be. But too much is also not a good thing.
At Sugar & Tea Philippines, Photography | Videography, we have different rates and suggestions for different events – weddings, real estate, birthdays, debuts, and corporate shoots.
Our team is here to provide guidance to get the best results you need for your event, or if budget constraints are an issue, how to receive the most value for your money.

Your wedding day can be full of excitement but also anxiety.
Are your vows rolling on your tongue, smooth as butter? Are you feeling fresh and ready?
Both the bride and groom have their responsibilities and it’s the groom’s job to help make sure everything is well so your bride can also be at ease.
There are so many things to tick off and get right, and at Sugar & Tea Philippines, we’ll lend you a hand and made the list below with some handy wedding day tips for the groom.
1. Take some time to eat
Eat before the wedding and make sure it’s hefty because chances are – you won’t be able to eat after the wedding. You’ll be busy taking photos with your wife, your friends, and your entourage as well as keeping everyone else entertained so it’s best that you get a meal in before the day’s events.
2. Be at the church early
Does the early bird catch the worm? As you wait for your bride to walk down the aisle, you have to make sure to get to the church early. Not only is it for you to greet and talk to early guests (maybe even talk the nerves out) – your bride will be just as worried and nervous as you are if she finds out that you’re late or if she arrives ahead of you.
Although weddings are without a doubt one of the biggest days of your life, you need to keep calm. It’s good to keep in mind that the occasion is intimate and you are surrounded by those that love you and care about you. Calm feelings create a relaxing and happier environment for you, your guests, and most especially the bride-to-be (who is probably just as nervous as you are).
4. Communicate with the staff, handle it so your wife-to-be stops panicking
Plan everything ahead! She may have done everything already made you got several wedding fairs and has gotten every single detail down but make sure to double-check everything with the staff and the entourages to make sure your plans and her plans are all aligned since it is your big day. At Sugar & Tea, we work closely with the bride and groom to capture each event and help make sure your footage goes smoothly.
5. Have a backup suit just in case of stains or spillage
Do you plan to stay in your suit the entire night? Your wife most likely has two or 3 outfits prepared already. Best to still match her second outfit, If do both do plan to change for the reception make sure it’s comfy, note the choice of shoes will help you last the duration of the reception, with all the dancing walking to meet new family members and such
6. Sewing kit for you and your bride, be her knight in shining armor
Speaking from actual experience, it’s good to keep a sewing kit on hand. Buttons may come loose and fall or there may be a stitch that may be hanging out a bit too noticeably. Sewing kits are here to solve that issue so you won’t be sewing falling buttons in front of the church door while the bridal car is approaching.
7. Relax have a drink but not too much
Drinks are all good and well to calm the nerves – up until it gets too much. Too much liquid courage could maybe have you end up blabbering a bit too much on stage or have your head in the toilet instead and facing a terrible hangover to start off married life!
8. Talk to your parents
It’s your last few hours as a single man! Before the wedding, try to sneak some time away with your parents and speak with them privately. Maybe there are a few words you’d like to say that is important. Tell them how much you are grateful and love them. Keep this moment precious and private, just something to share between mom, dad, and son.
Hopefully, these tips will help you get through this special day and once-in-a-lifetime moment. If you’re looking for the perfect team to capture your wedding in a hassle-free and convenient manner, please fill out the form below.

Real estate video marketing is key in making yourself stand out from other brokerage firms and realtors, connect with potential buyers & sellers, and more importantly, drive more sales for your business.
Videos change the game in how you sell your listing. For example, buyers can look at a “spacious 5 BR spacious house in Makati” online, and when occulared, looks like a cramped townhouse. Brokers know this. Buyers and sellers know this. Sometimes photos aren’t enough. If your property has great things going for it like spacious parking, wide, accessible roads, and a safe neighborhood, then you as a seller need to show these off. Real estate videos are crucial in driving those sales and getting your buyers to book that inspection.
Watch and Learn
In just 4 mins, our team at Sugar & Tea Manila Photography | Videography created this video to show an Industrial Property for Konem Realty. a brokerage firm in Manila that knows what it takes to make its listing stand out.
How does real estate marketing help you?
When you buy products on shop, some sellers go the extra mile and add attractive videos that demonstrate how to use their products – from items that need to be assembled, notebooks that show off their paper and designs, tools and how to use them, and other cases.
The same principle applies to your home listing.
How is are videos more effective:
1, Explain better and clearer: Show how spacious the property is, various amenities, and great location
- Increase meetings – videos get more attention, and lead to higher clicks
- Boost sales – films provide a deeper connection, when you do a walk through, the client can feel like they’re with you on a virtual tour. You solve questions faster and show the perks of being in the area.

What’s the first photo people notice when looking at an online real estate listing? 9 times out of 10, it’s the exterior shot of the building, warehouse, or home. On this blog, we will talk about tips on shooting Real Estate.
A high-quality image plays a vital role in the success of any property listing in the real estate business. The first impression of a buyer relies on the first photo they see. Whether it’s viewed on Facebook Marketplace, Lamudi, DotProperty, etc. If a client finds the exterior photo attractive, they’re more likely to schedule a call with the property or broker/agent for an ocular.
As a real estate professional, it’s important to have the ability to take great exterior property photos to catch a prospects’ attention and make them want to see more.
Below are some simple, yet effective tips in photographing real estate exteriors.
Be sure the property is ready for a shoot.
Coordinate with the broker or property owner that the place will be photographed. That there is parking available for your car, especially in the Philippines where parking can be hard to find. You wouldn’t attend a party without preparing yourself, so the same applied in shooting real estate.
Try to have the property as clean as possible, cars are moved, and unsightly items like trash cans and clutter are removed.
Check the position of sun
Consider where the house or building is facing, and sunlight. Try to schedule a time the sun strikes perfectly, whether mid morning or afternoon. Avoid shooting at noon or approaching sunset (ex: 5pm) which can create extreme sunspots/highlights.
Overcast and cloudy days are also ok times to shoot as this removes shadows, and provides a good, even lighting. Blue skies can always be added in the post-production process.
Understanding the position of the sun will show your property in its best, possible light.
Experiment with different angles
Don’t be afraid to get creative! Once you’re happy with the initial shots, try shooting at different spots and angles around the residence and see which side is the most attractive for your listing. Creative shots help you stand out from other real estate professionals in the Metro, whether that listing is in a popular city like Makati, or provincial areas like Rizal, Antipolo, Bulacan, etc.
Use a drone for some aerial views
Aerial views of a building/house provide a whole new perspective for your clients. They can see the entirety of the property, as well as its surrounding areas.
Be careful when using drones as sometimes, rules are applied that do not allow drones, or there’s the possibility it may hit trees, be blown away by the wind, or hit other structures if the drone pilot is not experienced enough.
Review and revise your photos
In the digital era, photos tell a story and first impressions leave an impact with your buyer. Real estate photo editing allows you to clear unsightly areas such as trash and mess, enhance colors, remove shadows and reflections, and give it that special touch to book that meeting.
Professional real estate photography and post-production is the difference between a good image and a great image. And at the end of the day, if your photos can sell that listing faster, it will help you get more business, which leads to more referrals which is always a good thing as a professional.

As a videography studio, our team is blessed to be able to travel in many areas in the Philippines to shoot tons of amazing locations. One of them is our Founder – Jean’s beloved hometown in Marinduque
One of our favorite videos we made is during our stay in Villa Atilana. And when creating a video, our goal is to tell a story. Here, our style is not to gloss so much on the villa but on the wonderful places you can see WHILE temporarily living in this homey resort.
Your & Your Seller Look Amazing
Shooting in Mogpog Marinduque and other tourism spots was truly an unforgettable experience. And by adding aerial drones, our footage was taken to new heights. We especially love how our videography team was able to capture The Palad Sand Bar and it’s pure white sand that could hold its own against Boracay.
Drone aerial photography & videography is one of our key specialities. We use these types of footage for weddings, debuts, birthdays, marketing, and provided that the location allows our team to. Sometimes places in Metro Manila can be restricted, while locations such as Tagaytay, Cavite, and nearby provinces offer some flexibility.

Hiring a professional real estate photographer and videographer can be life changing.
You can see a dramatic difference in selling your property within months vs. within weeks. As more buyers look to online platforms such as Marketplace, Facebook groups, lamudi, dotproperty, and other websites, top quality photos and videos are in demand more than ever.
It’s been proven that enhanced and professionally edited photos sell up to 50% faster than standard images and surveys indicate that 98% of buyers judge a property based on the listing photos provided with a listing.
You’re probably juggling too many things already as a realtor. It can take anywhere from 2-10 hours from visiting the property to taking photos, videos, walk throughs, editing, and then posting.
By having some of these professionally done, you and your agency save time and can allocate your real estate agents to doing fieldwork and other tasks.
Your & Your Seller Look Amazing
After negotiating the commission with your sellers, the next step is to prove you’re worth the negotiated amount.
The Philippines is currently under a Buyer’s Market in light of the pandemic. Many are selling properties at rates lower than market value due to varying circumstances. By hiring a professional photographer or videographer, your footage will spark interest, leading to more demand and letting you drive the price of your house/lot.
If your photos look great, chances are not a lot of similar listings will have images like yours. You get to stand out as a real estate broker/agent, and your brand just looks quite a lot better than others.
Especially when you add in drones, aerial photography and walk through videos like our team did below.
Your House Stands Out A Lot More Than Its Neighbors
Drones and great aerial videos will provide more engagement with your prospective buyers. There’s a lot more to see and when done just right, become the barometer everyone will compare their property to.
Selling Your Home For More
Our editors know what buyers look for. Clear skies, appealing sunsets, enhanced drones that show great value and can feature the community, amenities, and investment value of surrounding areas.
The more appealing the house looks, then the perceived value and worth shoots up as well. As basic economics would explain, low supply + high demand = higher price.
Considerations in Hiring A Professional Real Estate Shooter
Choose someone with a proven track record for real estate photography & videography. A lot of people enter the real estate shooting field to make a quick few thousand pesos as weddings, debuts, birthdays and most events in the Philippines have taken a down turn. The shooting techniques and editing for real estate vs. intimate events are completely different.
Our team at Sugar & Tea, we have different shooters who specialize specifically in real estate, a service that isn’t offered as much especially in Metro Manila. We understand what realtors, sales agents, and buyers are looking for and deliver
Check your videographer’s portfolio in all their real estate shootings. What kinds of properties have they done? Is this something you want to see in your listing?
All these factors play into your decision-making and should not be taken likely
Investing on well taken photos and videos will pay off in the long run. You get amazing, top-notch photos and videos to use in marketing campaigns which will get your listing off the market sooner, help your brand stand out, and attract both buyers and sellers for your realty business
After spending countless hours, weeks, or even months to prepare for your corporate event. You’ve chosen the perfect host, the ideal venue, decorated the table and chairs, and the caterer is ready to serve your clients and guests.
After all this hard work, not opting for a professional corporate event photographer and/or videographer would be a great disservice to you and your event.
Why an Event Photographer?
Photographers often narrow down their talent and choose a niche or two to focus their shoots. For example, a wedding photographer is ideal for debuts, birthdays and family events.
Event Photographers understand how to shoot and have the eye for marketing, branding, and corporate shoots. By narrowing down to a specific studio’s specialty, they are better able to execute the look and feel of your event and what you need to accomplish.
Below are some tips to consider before hiring your Event Photographer to make sure everything is smooth sailing as much as possible.
Understand Your Vision
What mood are you looking to create? Picture your vision ahead of time, and share these with your photographer. If you have a list of pegs, show some photos, videos, and samples you would like your photographer to be able to capture and create something similar.
A true professional, like our team here at Sugar & Tea will understand which angles to look for, what moments are worth capturing, and will work your vision into each photo and/or video.
Styles of Event Photography
Just like how weddings or debuts have different styles (some couples prefer traditional, others opt for designs with a modern flair, some women like to go all out with florals), Event Photography has a variety of styles when describing your vision to a professional.
- Candid: These capture your guests in the most natural setting. Our photographer blends into the background, shooting and capturing smiles and enjoying the event and may not even be aware that their picture is being taken. The lowest form of pressure and can capture the genuine smile of your attendants
- Photojournalism: Just like a comic strip or book, our photographer will capture the day as the event unfolds. We’ll be here to tell your story. This is the best option for the blog of an event, a presentation, or a newspaper,
- Conceptual: What is your peg? What theme, emotion, symbol or idea do you want to go for? The Event Photographer will work around this concept and this style is perfect for marketing and advertising content.
- Portrait: Remember those paintings of great leaders you’d see in castles and museums? This is just that, as the photographer uses dramatic lighting, backdrops, and powerful poses to perfectly evoke the style and personality of the subject.
- Fashion: Fashion photographers are experts at capturing movement. Their eye for style, design, and getting the timing right to capture the perfect movement produce photos great for keeping in touch with guests post events. The bonus part is that they’re on point to put on your social media feed!
Do Your Research
When you’ve decided on what kind of photography style you like, it’s time to pull out our trusty old friend, Google! Start simple by searching for photographers around your area. Not only will you help support locals, there’s a high chance that the photographer you hire may have photographed your vune during a previous event.
Now, as much as our old pal over here is great on the phone, talk to your pals that are right beside you! Ask your friends and family about anyone they could recommend to do the job. This also helps you because they may have worked with amazing photographers who give great outcomes to previous event planners.
If you want to be extremely specific and want to look at a specific range of photographers, you can also check out photography associations who feature professionals that specialize in your chosen photography style.
Review Your Photographer’s Work
As far as Google and word-of-mouth recommendations go, it’s extremely important to see the results. Most photographers have a website or online portfolio ready for everyone’s viewing. Check all their photos and collections to see if their vision lines up with yours and if you feel that it would be a perfect fit for your event.
Read reviews on Google, their website, Facebook, Instagram, anywhere and everywhere they’ve been featured. A lot can be said about someone’s work and work ethic by what’s said about them from an outside perspective.
Reach out to the references and ask questions about what working with the photographer was like. How were they dealing with the pressure of changes made throughout the day? Were they open to expressing your vision or did they want to stick to what they knew? Were they dressed well and kind to guests?
All of this lands a huge impression on both you and your guests, regardless of what kind of event you’re hosting.
Ask the Right Questions
Apart from asking about price, it’s important to note the specific skills your photographer has. The more you know about their style and ethics, the better assessment you’ll make about whether or not this photographer is right for you.
Here are a few questions you might want to ask:
When getting the most out of your event photographer, ensure your vision and expectations about what you need are clear and concise. Provide the detailed event itinerary and a vision board about the outcome you expect from them.
Your organization and preparedness plays a big role in getting at least 50% of the work, because once everything is listed on your end, the rest really is all up to the photographer. You help ensure that the photographer captures every single moment you want to document and what you feel would define your event and set it apart from everyone else.
